Paying for Home Care
Getting you care shouldn't mean getting lost in paperwork. Figuring out how to pay for home care is confusing — for most families, it's the first question and the biggest obstacle.

PRIVATE PAY & PRIVATE INSURANCE
Not every family qualifies for a government program, and not every family wants to wait to find out. If you’re paying privately or using private insurance, we’ll help you understand your options and build a care plan around your needs and budget, without compromising on quality.
VA Benefits
In select states, we’re proud to accept VA benefits for veterans and their families. If you or a loved one served, you may be entitled to home care support you’ve earned. We’ll help you find out what’s available and put it to work.
STATE WAIVER & SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS
Every state does this differently, and we operate in enough of them to know it. In the states where we do business, we participate in state-specific waiver programs and social service benefit programs designed to help people stay safely at home.
MEDICAID
In many of the states we serve, Stand Out Home Care is an approved Medicaid provider. If private pay or private insurance isn’t an option, Medicaid may help cover the cost of home care for those who qualify. We’ll help make the process easier to understand, break down the next steps, and point you toward helpful resources.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy on Medicaid Fraud
Let's be direct about this, because it matters: we participate in Medicaid-funded programs and state waivers, and we understand exactly how serious that responsibility is.
That means:
We do not tolerate billing for care that wasn’t provided. Every hour billed is an hour worked — verified, documented, and accounted for.
We do not tolerate falsified records. Clocking in for someone else, adding hours that weren’t worked, or documenting care that didn’t happen is fraud, and we treat it that way.
We do not look away. Every concern is investigated. Every credible finding is acted on — up to and including termination and referral to state and federal authorities.
We hold ourselves, our caregivers, and our staff to this standard without apology. If you're part of our team, you already know this. If you're a client, a family member, or a caregiver, you should know it too.
See something? Say something. Anonymously.
If you suspect fraud, waste, or abuse — by anyone, in any role — we want to hear about it, and you don’t have to give us your name to tell us.
Report a concern:
Federal: HHS Office of Inspector General, 1-800-HHS-TIPS (1-800-447-8477)
Every report is taken seriously and investigated. Include as much detail as you can — dates, names, and what you observed — so we can act on it quickly and thoroughly.
